Diesel locomotive series T 466.2 of the Czechoslovak State Railways. In the 1970s, there was a significant demand for powerful freight diesel locomotives for medium-duty shunting and line service at the former Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD). As a result, the lighter variant T 466.2 was derived from the industrial locomotive type T 448. It was manufactured by ČKD in Prague starting in 1977 in nine production series (each with minor differences), totaling 494 units, and was put into service with the ČSD until 1986.
