Each 5 g of color pigments is sufficient for approximately 500 g of wax. It is advisable to start with a small amount of color and gradually add more pigment until the desired shade is reached. With some practice, different color pigments can be combined. Homemade candles become truly special highlights when they glow in vibrant colors. The color pigments, in small pieces, are easy to dose and are simply dissolved in liquid wax and well mixed with the candle wax. The individual layers should dry first before the next layer in a different color is poured on top. When dyeing beeswax, it is important to note that the yellow base tone of the wax influences the color result. The more color pigment used, the more the yellow base tone is covered.
