Product details
Janosch (actually Horst Eckert 11 March 1931 Zabrze, Upper Silesia) is one of the most successful and best-known German children's book authors. He has received several awards, including the German Youth Literature Prize in 1979 for "Oh, how beautiful is Panama" and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1993. Many of his books have been published in several languages and have sold millions of copies. Today, Janosch lives in Tenerife, where he enjoys the sun lying in a hammock. You can learn from Tigerente, Tiger and Bear, Schnuddel or Günter Kastenfrosch, known from his stories such as "Post für den Tiger" and "Ich mach dich gesund, sagte der Bär" or his animated series "Janoschs Traumstunde": If you keep your creative imagination, you don't need much to be happy. Between 2013 and 2019, the ZEITmagazin column "Herr Wondrak" was published, in which Janosch answers readers' questions in his usual affectionate and tongue-in-cheek manner with the moustachioed, black-and-yellow dungaree-wearing Wondrak. Since 2021, Janosch has been mingling with the classics from Reclam's Universal Library with "Wondrak für alle Lebenslagen".
