My writing workshop combines more than 50 fun, original, and creative activities in a new box to introduce children to the gestures of writing. Shoelaces threaded through pegboards to develop fine motor skills. Graphic activities like connecting dots, reproducing patterns, and following lines to learn the graphic gesture and how to handle a marker or pencil without lifting the hand. A letter and number workshop to learn how to assemble letters and numbers using modeling clay or play dough sticks, and then practice writing in print and cursive. Silent dictation games.
