Product details
Print variant of the 1st/2nd class passenger car of the DB in Era IV. Among railway fans, a family of local transport cars from the Deutsche Bundesbahn is referred to as "Silberlinge." The name "Silberlinge" comes from the vehicles' stainless steel car bodies. Over 5,000 units were built between 1961 and 1980 and were still in service with DB Regio until early 2020. Due to their sub-class designation, these cars are also commonly referred to as n-cars. With the n-cars, PIKO has included a vehicle type that is essential for any model railway themed around the Bundesbahn or DB AG. As with the prototypes, the models also differ in window arrangement and interior design depending on the class of the car, and the dimensions have been accurately translated into N scale. High-quality mold construction ensures extremely realistic-looking bogies, and PIKO's renowned high-quality painting and printing give the vehicles an excellent finish. The vehicles are designed for easy retrofitting of interior lighting.
