New for 2025: The T 9.3 in the design of BR 91.3 rolls onto the H0 tracks as a versatile talent from the golden age of railways. Successfully used in the prototype for both freight and passenger trains as well as in shunting service, the PIKO model also impresses in universal use on the layout. Constructively, the expert steam locomotive leaves little to be desired and takes into account all the structural and optical features of the original machine. The roof of the driver's cab is rounded, and through the windows below, one can see the intricately detailed interior. Numerous free-standing components, such as a whistle on the roof, the bell on the boiler, as well as authentic lamps and lines, testify to model making at the highest level. The same applies to the chassis area with fine zinc die-cast wheels and the delicate brake rigging. By retrofitting a PIKO digital decoder, the lights in the cab and chassis area can be switched on and off. Additionally, a digitally controlled flickering LED in the firebox area simulates the glowing red coals. All lighting, including the direction-changing light switch, is implemented in modern, maintenance-free LED technology. The PIKO model is also prepared for the installation of a sound system.
