The magnificent late Baroque main hall captivates with its towering, powerful bookshelves that shield the realm of the spirit from the outside world. The vibrant ceiling fresco (1747) by Bartolomeo Altomonte (figurative part) and Antonio Tassi (architectural painting) depicts the marriage of virtue and science under the patronage of religion.
