At the beginning, all game pieces are placed in the middle of the Carrom board according to a given arrangement. Each player now tries to sink his pieces into one of the holes. The striker is flicked with the finger from the baseline. Each successful shot entitles the player to one more attempt. The winner is the first player to hole all the tiles of his colour.
