In "The Guild of Traveling Merchants," you embark on a journey of discovery, exploring uncharted territories, founding settlements, and establishing trade routes. If you proceed skillfully, the already explored territory expands each round, giving you a better starting point in the next round to discover even more. All players receive an identical game board at the beginning, from which they start their exploration. Terrain cards determine which areas can be explored. The explored areas are marked with small cubes. Once an entire region has been explored, a settlement is created, serving as a starting point for further discoveries in subsequent rounds. The more settlements you establish, the larger the area you can explore. If you succeed in connecting the cities already on the board, exploring areas with a lighthouse or a shipwreck, and optimally using the Investigation Cards, you will ultimately go down in history as the greatest explorer in the Guild of Traveling Merchants.
