Pegasus Okiya
German, 2 PlayersProduct details
Geishas are "people of the arts." They are entertainers who master various musical instruments and dance forms, showcasing them at parties or gatherings. Now, the Emperor himself has requested entertainment, and each player sends the geishas from their okiya to impress him and gain influence. In a 4x4 grid game area, geishas are placed alternately. Each square features one of four plants (maple, iris, cherry blossom, pine) and one of four additional elements (flag, rain, sun, bird). The occupied square then dictates the placement condition for the next geisha. If a square shows a maple with sun, the next geisha must be placed on a square that also shows either maple or sun. This gradually reduces the options. If a player aligns four geishas in a row or a square, or blocks their opponent, they win the round.
Okiya is a game with simple rules but strategically demanding decisions. For fans of Japanese culture, this clever little duel is an absolute must, providing an atmospheric experience with its evocative game materials.
