Underwater Cities, board game for 1-4 players, ages 12 and up

After overpopulated metropolises have spread across the Earth, humanity realizes it must create new living space on the ocean floor. Seaweed farms provide food. Desalination plants ensure drinking water. Laboratories research the technologies necessary for building an underwater network.

In Underwater Cities, players each establish their own underwater nation. They gather resources for city building, for a transportation network, and for the facilities that enable life underwater.

All of this is managed through a card mechanism that allows players to choose various actions. If the card matches the action, the player also gains an advantage from the card itself. However, sometimes an action is so tempting that a player will choose it even with a mismatched card.

In other cases, the advantage of the card is so important that the action chosen hardly matters, as long as it matches the card. Weighing these decisions carefully is the key to building an underwater habitat where humanity can thrive and flourish.
