In "The Lost Expedition," you lead a team of three researchers on the trail of Percy Fawcett to El Dorado. To win the game, you must overcome all traps and discover the lost city with one of the three living researchers. Help your team reach El Dorado despite the many obstacles that await you. In "The Lost Expedition," you can play solo, cooperatively, or competitively. However, the game mechanics remain the same in all three cases. Players must lay down 7 to 9 path cards (depending on the difficulty level) to reach the lost city. The three members of the expedition have life points and a unique ability that they can use throughout the game, as well as ammunition and food available to the entire expedition. Players lay out 6 adventure cards that represent their progress over half a day. In the morning, the cards are resolved in ascending order, while in the afternoon, they are resolved in the order they were laid down. The adventure cards allow you to advance on the path cards and collect items or abilities. Traps and obstacles can slow you down by costing you items or abilities. Will you succeed in finding the lost city, or will you disappear forever in the jungle?
