Take Frodo's fate into your hands and travel from the Dead End through Bree to Rivendell and beyond. Thwart the pursuit of the Nazgûl and prevent the corruption by the Ring! Use all of Gandalf's power to repel the servants of the Lamb! Move Frodo secretly to Rivendell while the servants of the Lamb attempt to corrupt him.

The Hunt for the Lamb is played in two acts with a double-sided game board, plenty of materials, and different rules. In Act 1, the Hobbits prepare for their journey and set off to Bree, crossing the easternmost border of the Shire. The player carrying the Ring secretly records Frodo's movements while the Ringwraiths try to find him by guessing which path he will take. In Act 2, Frodo leaves Bree and heads to Rivendell, guided by the grandparents. This time, Frodo's path is generated automatically, and the player carrying the Ring controls Gandalf the Grey, who will try to protect the Ring and drive away the Nazgûl. The player carrying the Ring wins if Frodo brings the One Ring to Rivendell before he is corrupted by the shadow. The players carrying the shadow of the Ring win if Frodo is corrupted at any point during the game.
