Product Description
The NASA Saturn V rocket holds several records: it is the tallest, most powerful, and heaviest launch vehicle ever built for transporting payloads. Additionally, it is the only rocket that has carried humans beyond low Earth orbit. There were a total of thirteen successful missions with Saturn V rockets: 12 Apollo missions and the launch of Skylab (the first U.S. space station) into low Earth orbit. The Saturn V stood 110.64 meters tall (taller than the Statue of Liberty), had a diameter of 10.06 meters, and weighed 2.95 million kilograms (when fully fueled). It featured three different stages that ignited sequentially and separately during flight. Stages one and two each had five engines, while stage three had one. All three stages used liquid fuel (stage one used RP-1, while the other two used liquid hydrogen), mixed with liquid oxygen (LOX) as an oxidizer.
The Ugears Saturn V is a 1:170 scale wooden model of the largest rocket ever made in the world. Along with the NASA Space Shuttle Discovery, the crewed Mars Rover, and the Mars Rover, it is part of Ugears' collection of space exploration vehicles. The model comes with a three-part stand, allowing you to display it vertically or horizontally, fully assembled or in different stages. The stages feature an attractive cardboard covering with the words "United States" or "USA" and details of the North American flag. There are removable panels that give you a glimpse of the internal structure.
