The classic game: The timeless skill game Mikado is suitable for the whole family. Here, you can interact and communicate with each other for a self-determined duration of play without needing much material, a complicated set of rules, or a lot of space. Even the children in the game round can playfully and easily experience the success of their improving hand-eye coordination.

Mikado game material and quantity: There are 41 game sticks made from FSC-certified wood, each 18 cm long. The colored markings on each stick indicate different point values. The total value of all sticks is 170 points. The values are divided as follows: 1 x Mikado stick: blue (or black) striped = 20 points, 5 x Mandarin stick: blue - red - blue = 10 points each, 5 x Bonzen stick: red - blue - red - blue - red = 5 points each, 15 x Samurai stick: red - yellow (or green) - blue = 3 points each, 15 x Kuli stick: blue - red = 2 points each.

How to play: Player 1 gathers the sticks upright in their hand over the playing surface and then simply lets them fall apart by opening their hand. As they fall in a crisscross manner, the goal is to gradually pick them up. It is important to ensure that when picking up the chosen stick, no other stick wobbles. If this happens, the turn goes to the next player. Directly touching the stick, lifting it by pressing on one end, or spinning it with a previously won stick are allowed variations. The game ends when all sticks have been picked up. The winner is the one who can achieve the most points based on the markings on the sticks.
