In the 42nd year after the unification, an alien named Eolus Rein made a discovery unlike anything the free species had ever seen before: an entire, previously unknown planet scattered with the remnants of a lost civilization. Soon, explorers, traders, and eager buyers flocked to the empty planet, competing to assemble the perfect collection of exotic artifacts. They soon learned that the inhabitants of this destroyed planet called it Earth.

Players take on the role of archaeologically-minded aliens who excavate, collect, smuggle, and auction off the remnants of humanity to the highest bidder. Excavation Earth features streamlined rules that can be understood in just 10 minutes. With significant decisions in each round and player interaction, it offers a deep gaming experience. This makes the game suitable for newcomers while also providing a challenge for experienced Euro gamers.
