The shunting coupling is compatible with the classic G-scale hook coupling and features completely revised control electronics with a limit switch, a plug-in connection cable, a novel uncoupling plate along with side steps, and a new coupling hook. The uncoupling plate is designed in an aesthetically pleasing checker plate appearance, which also allows for the uncoupling of the symmetrical coupling. Manual uncoupling by hand is now comfortably facilitated by the two small side steps. If these steps are not to your liking, they can easily be removed with pliers. The shunting coupling is attached with a screw at the location where the hook coupling was previously mounted. Suitable mounting materials for LGB and PIKO are included. The included connection cable connects the uncoupler to the decoder (for the first time, the uncoupler also has its own connection socket). Using the limit switch, the uncoupler self-adjusts with each startup. When the controller is first activated, the motor retracts until the hook reaches the integrated limit switch and shuts off. The new shunting coupling is suitable for any standard digital decoder. Thanks to the integrated buffering, it can also work flawlessly with decoders that have insufficient output stabilization. With the 2.0 update, the performance spectrum has significantly expanded compared to the proven shunting coupling. In addition to classic operation at the function output of a decoder, the new shunting coupling with the integrated DCC decoder now also supports true digital operation. Even if there are no function outputs available on the decoder or if it is to be used on a car without a decoder, the intelligent electronics allow for direct control of the shunting coupling 2.0 in the DCC system.
