Märklin RAe 4/8 double railcar

Prototype: Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) class RAe 4/8 "Churchill-Arrow" electric double railcar. Used as a charter train for excursions and social trips. Fire-red basic color scheme. The powered rail car has road number RAe 4/8 1021 and is in current operating condition.

Model: The locomotive features an mfx+ digital decoder with extensive sound and light functions. It has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel. The two axles in the outer bogie on car part 1 are driven via cardan shafts and equipped with traction tyres. Swiss headlights, three-light headlights, and one white marker light operate in conventional mode and can be controlled digitally. The headlights can switch to one red marker light. Additionally, a red signal for the right to drive (wrong way signal) in the direction of travel is digitally switchable and changes with the direction of travel.

Standard built-in interior lighting operates conventionally and is digitally switchable. Cab lighting is separately digitally switchable, and table lamps can also be controlled digitally. The lighting uses maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs. Four bogie covers are included for replacement, suitable for use on large radii or for display cases.

Total length over the buffers is approximately 53 cm.

Highlights include a completely new construction, standard interior lighting, the ability to switch to a red marker light, digitally controllable cab lighting, digitally controllable table lamps, and a digitally switchable train authorization signal. The game world mfx+ decoder provides various light and sound functions.
