The Central Station 3 plus serves as a multi-protocol control unit with its high-resolution, modern color touchscreen, two throttle controllers, and integrated central track diagram control panel, allowing for easy and comfortable operation of locomotives and the entire setup. Up to 32 functions can be activated for locomotives, while accessories can accommodate up to 320 Motorola or 2048 DCC magnetic items. Additionally, the Central Station 3 plus features two built-in locomotive card readers (for storing locomotive data on a card or for quick access to the locomotive by inserting the card), an SD card slot for memory expansion, and an integrated speaker for playing typical model railway sounds. A powerful booster is integrated to supply the system with driving and switching current. The Central Station 3 plus includes a built-in s88 connection, two built-in USB hosts (for devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or USB stick), a USB charging port, a network connection for communication with a PC, connections for two Mobile Stations, an external speaker connection, and additional connections for the Märklin bus system.
