German Federal Railroad (DB) class 78 tank steam locomotive (former Prussian T18). Version with three boiler superstructures (D-D-S), sandbox angular. Riveted water boxes, cab roof with angular superstructure, three-light headlights with DB reflector glass lamps. Road number 78 507. Locally owned in Essen. The locomotive is in operating condition circa 1965. Mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion with flywheel mass in the boiler. Three axles powered. Traction tires. Locomotive constructed mostly of metal. The locomotive is equipped for a smoke unit. The three-light headlights change with the direction of travel, and the smoke unit contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Two red marker lights can be controlled separately in digital operation. The cab lighting can also be controlled digitally. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting. Numerous separately applied metal grab irons and wires. Minimum passable radius 360 mm. Piston rod protection tubes and brake hoses are included.
