Märklin 39596 Ce 6/8 II of the SBB

Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) Class Be 6/8 II "Crocodile" electric locomotive. Design from the first production series in a primed fir green. Features include two cab doors, wide steps on the hoods, arched handrails, sleeve buffers, and opposing train lights. Locomotive number 13254, representing its appearance between 1960 and 1965.

This locomotive is equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It features two controlled high-efficiency drive systems with flywheels, one motor for each driving car, and three axles with a drive shaft operated in each driving car. It includes traction tires and a flexible frame to handle tight curves. The triple headlights and a white rear light change with the direction of travel and function in conventional operation as well as being digitally controllable. In idle mode, the lighting can switch to a red rear light. Maintenance-free warm white and red LEDs are used for the lighting.

The locomotive is characterized by a highly detailed metal construction with many separately applied details. The body consists of three parts with separately swiveling hoods, and the roof equipment is detailed with safety grids under the pantographs. The length over the buffers is 22.3 cm.
