LGB Electric locomotive Ge 6/6 II Rhb

After the two prototypes of the Ge 6/6 II series delivered in 1957 proved to be very successful, five more locomotives of this series were delivered in 1965. They mainly differed from the prototypes by having two large front windows instead of three. Over the years, several modifications and renovations were made to the locomotives, the most noticeable being the red paint scheme introduced in the mid-1980s. From the turn of the millennium, single-arm pantographs were installed instead of the previously used scissors-type pantographs, which had become standard for the RhB. In recent years, these impressive machines were primarily used for freight transport but have since been retired.
