LGB 34621G ÖBB passenger coach

This passenger car has a special significance: it was primarily used as a companion car in freight trains on the Pinzgaubahn during the 1970s. This allowed shunters and other railway staff to travel somewhat comfortably and be quickly available when needed. Various types of cars were used in freight transport at that time on narrow-gauge railways, including covered and open freight cars, as well as stake cars for transporting bulky goods. Standard gauge freight cars were also loaded onto roll wagons and transported on the narrow gauge line, which saved the need for transferring goods from standard to narrow gauge freight cars and made operations much more efficient.
