LEGO SPIKE Essential Set

LEGO Education SPIKE Essential engages elementary school students in hands-on STEAM learning. This playful, narrative-based learning experience is part of the LEGO Learning System and encourages students to explore STEAM concepts while promoting literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional development. This 449-piece set includes four minifigures, each with their own personalities, serving as storytellers to make problem-solving accessible for all students. Icon- and word-based block programming with simple hardware—including a smart 2-port hub, two small motors, a light matrix, and a color sensor—brings students' creations to life. The set features a colorful selection of familiar and age-appropriate LEGO bricks, spare parts, and a sturdy storage box with color-coded sorting compartments to facilitate the building process and classroom management. As part of the LEGO Learning System, SPIKE Essential offers five units, each with eight 45-minute, standards-aligned STEAM lessons.
