This cool LEGO playset (80008) lets kids step into the role of the hero Monkie Kid and take off in his cloud jet to retrieve the Golden Staff and save Ai. The toy plane features disc shooters and a minifigure cockpit that can detach and transform into a super-fast motorcycle. His rival, Red Son, has a dual-jetpack as a buildable model and a power glove, allowing the two to test their strengths against each other. The set is a great LEGO gift idea for fans and includes 4 minifigures, so kids can embody their favorite heroes.

The creative toy comes with a printed building instruction manual. However, children can also access the Instructions PLUS available in the free LEGO Life app to enlarge, rotate, and closely examine the digital model view of the dual-jet airplane while building.

The LEGO Monkie Kid sets are deeply rooted in Chinese culture and are based on the legend of the Monkey King from the Chinese novel "Journey to the West." While building and playing with the sets, children develop confidence and perseverance and discover their creative side.
