Kosmos Kodama

Kodama, card game for 2-5 players, ages 8 and up

Players are the guardians of the trees, contributing to making the forest a healthy and lush home for the Kodamas – the Japanese tree spirits. Each turn allows the trees to grow and populates them with a mix of flowers, insects, mushrooms, and other elements. Points are awarded based on which elements are present on the newly grown branch. Players aim to make their tree as attractive as possible for a Kodama. At the end of each season, the Kodamas choose a new home. The more satisfied they are with the tree, the more generous the reward for the tree guardians. Who will the Kodamas choose as the new guardian of the forest?

The tile-laying game features simple rules, a unique fairy-tale Japanese aesthetic, and can be played with a free explanation app. It can be played both with and without the app.
