It is harmless to health - even if it is accidentally swallowed or gets into the eye. How do KiSaBi sand pictures work? KiSaBi sand pictures consist of a cardboard with an adhesive surface in DIN A4 or DIN A5 format for smaller sets, on which a motif has been scribed by machine. "First you carefully peel off the foil from the scored cardboard with the foil peeler, then you sprinkle the peeled-off areas with the coloured sand of your choice, then you repeat the procedure for the other areas and your own sand picture is finished. Creating a sand painting takes no more than 30 minutes. KiSaBi deliberately does not specify which colour should be used where. The ten sand colours included in the sets are matched to the respective pictures, but the main aim is to stimulate the child's imagination, encourage creativity, awaken new sensory stimuli and deepen their understanding of colour. If the flamingo ends up being green instead of pink, that's not a problem - it's artistic licence. The sand used has an extra-fine grain. This means it adheres better to the glue and cannot be rubbed off again.
