Product details
The Kartell ride-on car Discovolante, Italian for "flying saucer," was designed by Piero Lissoni in homage to the Alfa Romeo sports car of the same name. The designer has utilized the exceptionally beautiful vehicle design for this movable toy, opting for a transparent look and simultaneously transforming the delightful toy into an authentic piece of furniture.
Alfisti love this beautiful object—likely with or without children. The child-sized race car is inspired by the sports car that was re-released in a modern interpretation in 2012. The toy ride-on car serves as a fantastic eye-catcher in both the children's room and the parents' living room.
The Discovolante attracts a lot of attention with its metal frame and transparent methacrylate body, both indoors and outdoors. The designer has opted out of a pedal mechanism—just the muscle power of the legs is enough to give the Discovolante speed, even on laps in front of the house.
