The first large illustration in the characteristic style of Jan van Haasteren was created in 1975. The drawing "Shooting Pool" sparked a great demand for this type of advertising posters. The posters were very popular, and in 1980, Jumbo decided to release one of the posters as a puzzle. This turned out to be a great success. "Shooting Pool" thus became the starting point of the now-famous puzzle brand. With the "Oldtimers" series, we look back at the beginnings of Jan van Haasteren puzzles. The reissue carries a touch of nostalgia, but it is primarily an ode to the immense craftsmanship of Jan van Haasteren.
