The stand model is a replica of the locomotive BR41. Starting in 1936, the BR 41 class was developed as standard locomotives for fast freight trains as part of the construction program for the German National Railways (DRG).
During the trial period, the BR 41 earned the nickname "Ox loco" because it was used to pull fast livestock trains. In total, 366 BR 41 locomotives were built, produced by nearly all German locomotive manufacturers.
The BR 41 was designed as a so-called multipurpose locomotive. In addition to its primary use for transporting express freight trains, its top speed of 90 km/h allowed for deployment in fast and even express passenger trains.
