In vino veritas The Latin wisdom game

Game Start:
All 40 cards are shuffled and placed face down on the table, with the word side facing down. It is important to ensure that the cards are laid out side by side, not stacked on top of each other.

The Game:
The starting player reveals two cards one after the other. It is important to note that only one In Vino card can be revealed in combination with a Veritas card back. Revealing In Vino and In Vino or Veritas and Veritas would be incorrect, as these revealed word combinations do not make sense or form proper words. If the two revealed cards form a pair and thus create a valid word, the player may reveal two more cards. This continues until they reveal two mismatched word components. The revealed cards are then turned back over, and the next player takes their turn. Play proceeds in a clockwise direction. Correct word pairs can be identified by the correct color, the matching speech bubble, and the appropriate High German explanation.

Objective of the Game:
The player who has collected the most word pairs by the end of the game wins.
