Codenames Quebec is a game of idea association for 2 to 8 players (or even more!) in which, divided into two teams, you'll become both an espionage master and an agent on a mission. To find out what code name your informers are hiding under, read the information provided by the two spy masters and make sure you don't contact an enemy informant, or even better, the formidable assassin!
The two spy masters know the identity of the 25 informants on the table, but their agents only know their code names. The teams compete to be the first to make contact with all their informants. To this end, the master spies give one and only one code word that can designate several code names on the table. Their agents will then try to identify the code names of their color and avoid those of the other team. And of course, everyone wants to avoid the assassin!
The first team that identifies all of its informants wins the game.
As you are familiar with the particularities of the French spoken in Quebec, the associations of ideas can become increasingly complex, with double or triple meanings. In any case, these are guaranteed to be some of the best!
In Codenames, players must stay on their guard every minute of the game. Faux pas are common, and every mistake can be fatal for the teams. The interest of the game is based on the multiple meanings of words. The spy masters must choose their clues carefully and avoid taking too many risks with the assassin.
