The idea of creating lanterns from ice in winter comes from Scandinavia. By lighting a candle inside an ice lantern, a sensual play of light unfolds.

You can easily make ice lanterns yourself. Simply place the molds filled with water in the freezer overnight (12–24 hours). The next day, let the molds thaw at room temperature for half an hour.

By pouring some hot water into the center of the mold, the lanterns can be easily removed. By coloring the water or freezing fruits, flowers, or branches, you can create unique lanterns.

The molds are reusable, allowing you to make as many lanterns as you like in succession.
