Artfully crafted gloves, cuffs, wrist warmers, or wristbands were once part of traditional attire in many regions. A particular eye-catcher were the colorful beaded half-gloves known as "Stäucherli" in Franconia. Some specialists have gathered, photographed, and described charming old pieces. This has resulted in much more than just a regional history of this accessory, as such gloves were fashionable everywhere in the past. The book presents examples from around twenty locations in Germany and beyond, and offers numerous instructions that invite readers to engage more deeply with this rare craft.
