Beer & Bread is a versatile card game for two players. The clever structure of alternating rounds introduces a fascinating twist to player interaction, card drawing, and resource management.

Founded on the fertile lands of a former monastery, two villages have maintained the dual tradition of brewing beer and baking bread. While they share fields and resources, they take pride in their friendly rivalry to produce the best products.

Each player represents one of these villages. Over the course of six years, alternating between fruitful and dry years, you must balance your tasks of harvesting and storing resources, producing beer and bread, selling for coins, and upgrading your facilities.

To win, however, you must maintain the balance between your baked and liquid goods. After the sixth year, you only count the coins you earned from the type of goods—beer or bread—for which you earned less. The village with the higher score wins.
