Ghenos Games Beer & Bread

Founded on the fertile lands of an ancient monastery, two villages have perpetuated the double tradition of beer and bread production. While they share fields and resources, they take pride in their friendly rivalry in trying to beat each other's products. In Beer & Bread, each player is the head of one of these villages. Over the course of six years, alternating between fertile and dry seasons, players must organize themselves to collect and store resources, produce beer and bread, sell them to earn coins, and improve their structures. To win, players must find the right balance between bread and beer. At the end of the sixth year, points are awarded based on the coins earned from the type of goods (beer or bread) that earned the least. The village with the highest score will be the winner.

Fertile vintages:

• Seeding phase: Add the necessary resources to the board.
• Card phase: Each player takes 5 cards.
• Action phase: Play a card and perform the action (collect and store, produce and sell, improve and restore). Then, pass the remaining cards to the other player.

Drought years:

• Seeding phase: Add the necessary resources to the board.
• Card phase: Take cards until you have 5 cards in your hand.
• Action phase: Play a card and perform the action in turns. Do not pass the cards, but play the ones you have in your hand.

The game ends after 6 rounds (years) and points are calculated. Add up the coins obtained from the bread cards and the beer cards separately, along with the coins gained from improvements. The final score will be the lower of the totals from the beer or bread cards. The player with the highest score wins.
