In the 6th century BC, Nebuchadnezzar II, king of Babylon, commissioned the construction of magnificent gardens in honor of his young wife, Amytis of Media, wishing to offer her a true mountain of flowers with enchanting scents. He called upon the most illustrious architects of his kingdom to showcase their ingenuity in creating this masterpiece, considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
In Babylon, you embody one of these renowned architects. You will build your career by researching the best materials and using them wisely to construct your gardens. Ultimately, the architect who presents the grandest project to the king will be crowned Grand Architect of the Empire and declared the winner.
The box, representing your career in which you will gather construction materials, is placed at the center of the table. On your turn, take a terrace piece of your choice from the career and, depending on its location, receive a variable number of piles. Use these piles to place your tile and, if you wish, decorate your garden with various decorative elements.
Stack your terraces from floor to floor and decorate them as much as possible. In the end, each decorative element will earn you victory points based on the floor on which it is located.
