Sky lanterns are wonders of Kathayan engineering, used by the armies of the Celestial Dragon to observe enemies from above and direct troops in battle. Beneath the lantern hangs an armored gondola, from which one of the many magistrates of Grand Cathay signals the troops with fans and banners or directs the fire of the army's war machines. Should enemy flyers or artillery come too close, pairs of crane gunners will fire from their exceptional vantage point.

This multipart kit builds an impressive sky lantern, an unusual war machine for your Grand Cathay armies in the games of Warhammer: The Old World. These floating gondolas can be equipped for a variety of roles on the battlefield, from remote-controlled air artillery to bombing platforms. The set includes parts to build a magistrate that can be mounted on the sky lantern or assembled on foot. The crew can be armed with sky lantern cranes or iron hail guns, as well as black powder or dragon fire bombs. An optional holder for sky lantern bombs can be added to the gondola. No matter how you equip it, this miniature model is effective on the table and a striking addition to your collection.

The set includes 128 plastic components, 1 Citadel 100mm square base, 1 Citadel 25mm square base, 1 Citadel large flying stem, and 1 sky lantern transfer sheet with 115 high-quality water transfer decals to decorate your miniatures.

This miniature requires assembly and is supplied unpainted – we recommend using Citadel plastic glue and Citadel Colour paints.
