Games Workshop Adeptus Mechanicus - Pteraxii

The Pteraxii are one of the many specialized casts of cyborg soldiers available to the Adeptus Mechanicus, optimized for agility and instinctive reactions. The reflexes of the Pteraxii are enhanced by removing cognitive elements that interfere with their primary function. They are implanted with additional joints on the shoulder blade, a packet of thrusters, and reactive living surfaces. These flight packages become an integral part of the Pteraxii, which serve several roles. Sterylizors, for example, are sharpened for aggression, and their feet are replaced by sharp talons. They search for forges to purge them of infestations of techparasites and cybercloques, and Tech-Priests do not hesitate to use Sterylizors' phosphorus torches against intelligent adversaries. The Pteraxii Sterylizors carry phosphorus torches, fearsome flamethrowers with elongated tubes, and they melt their prey to lacerate them from their Pteraxii greenhouses. The Alpha of the unit is armed with a dart-rattler and a taser baton. Together, they form an excellent close support unit for your Skitarii responsible for advancing. This kit can also be used to assemble a unit of Pteraxii Skystalkers. No matter what unit you assemble, you'll still have plenty of components left to customize your collection. This kit comes with 115 plastic components, plus five 40mm Citadel round pedestals and flying rods. A decal sheet from the Adeptus Mechanicus is also included.
