Product details
Brass: Lancashire is an economic strategy game that tells the story of competing entrepreneurs in Lancashire during the Industrial Revolution. Players must develop, build, and connect their industries to meet the demand for iron, coal, and cotton. The game board represents a map of England during this time. The available cities can host specific types of factories. Each player has a personal area with factory tiles (coal mine, steel mill, cotton mill, port, and shipyard) and a hand of eight factory cards, from which they can play two each round. Cities must be connected; in the first half of the game, players use canals, and in the second half, they gradually replace them with railways. In Brass: Lancashire, victory points correspond to industrialization, with canals and railways earning points. Factories only score points if they can produce, and mines only score points if they can deliver the extracted resources to the factories. To win the game, players must earn the most victory points, which are counted at the end of each phase.
