Fleischmann 086 400-9, DB

First time featuring a Next18 interface and dual LED headlights. Fine front and rear running wheels with perforated spokes. Metal die-cast chassis.

After the end of World War II, 386 units of the series 86 were located in West Germany. Most of them were able to be repaired, allowing DB to have 378 locomotives of this series in 1952. Their tasks included not only classic branch line trains but also regularly transporting express trains and shunting in freight yards. The last units were retired from service at DB in 1974, designated as series 086.
