The kit includes a compressor house with an extension and accessories, a stationary pipe blowing frame, and a shovel rack with the corresponding hand tools for cleaning and de-slagging the steam locomotives.
Each locomotive depot has a compressor house to supply the compressed air network. From here, the locomotive workshop, sanding tower, and pipe blowing frame are supplied with compressed air. The boiler tubes of the locomotives need to be thoroughly cleaned from time to time by blowing them out with a pipe lance.
