The outcasts from Factory Entertainment have recently returned from their own quest for the treasure of One-Eyed Willy and have unearthed something that seemed lost forever - the original prop of the Copper Bones Skeleton Key from the cult film The Goonies, released in 1985. With the permission of Warner Bros. and Amblin, Factory Entertainment was able to locate the original prop, which had been kept in the private collection of a well-known filmmaker. The FE team gained access to the piece and captured all the fine details that only a few people had seen, those fortunate enough to view the prop since filming over 35 years ago. Using this new reference, our team set to work recreating the prop by creating a digital sculpture and then a 3D-printed prototype. A casting mold was then made from the prototype to ensure that everything present in the original prop was preserved in the replica. For the first time ever, a truly accurate replica of the Copper Bones Skeleton Key Prop is now available at Factory Entertainment.
