ESU SwitchPilot Extension

If necessary, the SwitchPilot can be supplemented with the SwitchPilot Expansion Module. Plugged in on the side of the SwitchPilot, it offers four relay-controlled outputs that can be used to switch potential-free loads or to polarize the frog; the ideal addition for demanding circuits.

Operating Modes
The SwitchPilot Expansion Module only works in conjunction with a SwitchPilot. Connected on the side, it draws its electrical power directly from the SwitchPilot. It contains a total of four double relays (2 x DPDT), each assigned to a pair of transistorized SwitchPilot outputs. The switching position of each relay directly depends on the state of this output pair. Using the relay, loads can be switched, electrically isolated from the rest of the circuit, or a motorized switch drive can be polarized.

With a continuous rated power of 1.5 amperes, either frogs can be polarized, signal-dependent blocks can be powered, or motorized devices such as pumps can be switched. Particularly complex is the ability to control motorized switches: the SwitchPilot Expansion Module also effortlessly handles the necessary motor polarization.
