Train Number Recognition
The new ECoSDetector RC can monitor its four track sections in a unique way: Using RailCom technology ("local detector"), it can not only determine whether the track is occupied but also exactly which train is present (train number recognition). Of course, this requires locomotives with RailCom functionality.

Smart
Knowing where each train is located leads to new features in conjunction with the ECoS track occupancy reporting: For example, barriers at level crossings can be automatically activated, or trains can be directed to an unoccupied track in the storage yard. The switch inputs and track occupancy sensors are electronically filtered to ensure reliable feedback even in cases of poor contact or dirty tracks.

Connection to ECoSlink
Each ECoSDetector RC is directly connected to the control center via the ECoSlink bus. In addition to the ECoS control center, all types of Central Station Reloaded with ESU update are compatible. The galvanic isolation of the bus system from the control center ensures optimal reliability and data transmission to the control center. The control center automatically recognizes and registers all ECoSDetector modules. The devices can be conveniently and easily configured via the control center, even after installation.

Future-proof
The operating software of each ECoSDetector can be updated and expanded to enable additional functions as needed: Whenever necessary, this update is automatically performed by the control center. This ensures that your ECoSDetector is always technically up to date.
