Carcassonne is a strategic board game based on the principle of tile placement. Players draw and place tiles that represent parts of a southern French landscape, including cities, roads, monasteries, and fields. Each tile must be placed so that it borders already laid tiles, connecting cities to cities and roads to roads. After placing a tile, players have the option to place one of their meeples on one of the areas to score points when those areas are completed. The decisions made during the game are crucial, as they can influence both one's own strategy and that of the other players.
