Instructions for use | The matching resin EpoxyPlast 3D (component A) and hardener B50 DeepPour (component B) are precisely weighed out in a mixing ratio of 2:1 by weight in a clean container. Never mix by volume, as this can lead to an incorrect result. To ensure thorough mixing, a scale and two sufficiently large mixing cups are required. Mix components A and B in a clean mixing cup at a maximum speed of 300 revolutions/min. (prevents bubbles from forming) for approx. 3-4 minutes. Then pour the mixture into a new clean container ("repot") and remove the resin adhering to the edges of the first container and allow it to drip into the mixture. Now mix again for 3-4 minutes. This two-stage process is important in order to obtain a mixture that is as homogeneous as possible. After mixing, colours or effect pigments can be added to the potting compound as desired. EpoxyPlast 3D B50 DeepPour is ideal for use with transparent colours due to its crystal-clear, low-viscosity consistency. The maximum pouring height/sealing height depends on the hardener used, the room temperature and the volume. As a general rule, the higher the room temperature and the larger the quantity mixed, the lower the possible casting height while maintaining the same level of transparency. The recommended casting height for hardener B50 DeepPour at a room temperature of 20°C is at least 1 mm to a maximum of 50 mm. At a maximum room temperature of 15°C and a maximum object diameter of 12 cm, this hardener can also be used to realise higher pours of up to 350 mm in one piece. Important notes: Mixing components A (resin) and B (hardener) in a mixing ratio of 1:1 leads to incomplete curing and therefore to a faulty result. If the resin (A component) is milky, lumpy or solid, this is due to crystallisation. This is caused by cold and can be reversed by a water bath (50-70°C). Store the resin sealed at room temperature and avoid temperature drops, high humidity and direct sunlight over a longer period of time. |
