Carrera Ford GT40

Also known from the long-distance race of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in northern France, which has since been adapted into the film titled 'Le Mans '66: Against All Odds': The blue Ford GT 40 MKII with the number 6 was part of the American fleet of a total of 13 vehicles aimed at keeping the then-dominant Ferraris in check. The race ended in a dead heat and a triple victory for Ford. Behind the wheel of the Ford from the 'Holman & Moody' team were American Mario Andretti and Belgian Lucien Bianchi. However, they were unable to finish as their Ford suffered from cylinder overheating. In 1966, Ford fiercely contested the crown in the sports car championship with the Ford GT40 MKII No. 6. This 1:24 scale slot car is a tribute to the car of that time. With its legendary blue 1966 No. 6 livery, the vehicle races ahead on the Carrera racetrack.
