Vocabulary learning reinvented. The Thing: learn French while playing. It continues the successful series The Thing. Countless players from the series can confirm: fun and learning success are guaranteed. Players learn how to describe things in French. Familiar terms from the basic vocabulary are repeated, practiced, and thus reinforced. Other, still unknown words can be newly discovered from the context and added to the existing vocabulary. This leads to a playful expansion of the French vocabulary. Additionally, reading and pronouncing French words is practiced, and listening comprehension is encouraged. Because only through clear pronunciation and good listening is it possible to guess a thing at all.

Here's how it works: The rules are quickly explained: One person reads the six French hint sentences on each card one by one. The others guess which term might be hidden behind the clues - until the hidden thing is found. The terms to be guessed belong to the basic French vocabulary and are specifically selected from the PONS Picture Dictionary French.

The game includes the following 15 categories: France, Professions, School, Meals, Home, Hobbies, Body, Clothing, Shopping, Family, Animals, Travel, Weather, Sports, City. The Thing: learn French while playing can be used in various ways in French lessons: it is suitable as a warm-up at the beginning of a lesson, for reinforcing vocabulary at the end of a specific topic, as well as for meaningful design of substitute lessons in the subject of French.
