Brussels, 1893: Victor Horta designs the Maison Autrique and the Hôtel Tassel. These two buildings are now considered the first structures in Art Nouveau and are known worldwide for this. Characteristic elements of Art Nouveau include light-filled spaces, flowing lines reminiscent of plants and flowers, ironwork, mosaics, frescoes, and stained glass. In the same year, Paul Hankar also builds his own house in the Art Nouveau style. Brussels becomes the starting point of an artistic movement that soon spreads throughout Europe, inspiring the great architects of the "golden age" of the Belle Époque.

In Brussels 1893, you play as these famous architects. You build magnificent houses, create decorative artworks, and expand your influence with the most distinguished nobles of the time. However, the ultimate dream is to complete your architectural masterpiece, which will be displayed on your personal game board. At the end of the game, the player with the most prestige - in the form of victory points (VP) - wins.

Brussels 1893 was the winner of the AS D'OR in the "Expert" category in 2014. Now available as a completely revised new edition in English, including the Belle Époque expansion.
